How It Works

Our analysis engine uses multi-factor heuristic algorithms to evaluate account authenticity. Rather than relying on a single metric, the tool examines a combination of signals that, together, paint a comprehensive picture of whether an account's followers are genuine. Here is a simplified overview of our approach:

  • Engagement Rate Analysis — We compare the account's engagement rate against established benchmarks for accounts of similar size on each platform. Accounts with abnormally low engagement relative to their follower count are flagged as likely having fake followers.
  • Follower-to-Following Ratio — Extreme ratios in either direction can indicate purchased followers or follow-for-follow schemes that attract low-quality accounts.
  • Posting Frequency and Consistency — Accounts with very few posts but large followings, or accounts with irregular posting patterns, often exhibit signs of artificial growth.
